First Massage Program

The primary goal of this 570 hour academic course is to give students the educational requirements needed to sit for the Hawaii State Massage Therapy Licensing Exam. First Massage School and Clinic will provide students with a productive and cohesive learning environment. Phase I consists of 50 hours of lecture and lab work in a classroom setting covering anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. During phase I daily reading, homework and weekly quizzes will help students to ensure their success. Phase II consists of 100 hours of therapeutic massage theory and practice. Phase II provides students the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in phase I while building the skill set needed to become a professional massage therapist. During phase I and II students will build the confidence necessary to advance into phase III. Phase III is the final stage where students complete 420 hours of supervised clinical massage, record keeping, client consulting, sanitation, office policies procedures and observation of massage classroom instruction in a thriving professional therapeutic massage therapy business.

On-Site Massage Therapy Clinic

Get hands on experience at a physical rehab in Waipahu, Wahiawa or Waianae. You will be under the direct supervision of many licensed instructors, provide a wide range of massage therapy services to the public. It is widely considered to be among the leading teaching clinics in the Oahu, Hawaii.

  • Sit for the Hawaii State Massage Therapy Licensing Exam

  • Confidently apply and interview for employment in the massage career job field

  • Use knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology to assess and treat clients

  • Use proper medical terminology when communicating with medical professionals

  • Communicate effectively and productively with clients to get results

Certificates of Completion and Official Transcript

Within one week of graduation students will have an original Certificate of Completion and an official transcript available for pick up at the admissions office.
